Dear Troels,

I want to start by thanking you for the design of the CNO Grande. It is a lovely design with lots of listing pleasure during many evenings with my Spec RSA M99 integrated amplifier.

It is now about eight months since I finished these loudspeakers. It has been an absolute pleasure listening to these floor-standing Seas loudspeakers. The building process took about three months, within a total of 80 hours. Realy fun to build these loudspeakers. The building process is not too complex, but you need the right equipment like a format jigsaw and a good router. The result is this very beautiful and slim loudspeaker with a pretty small living room-friendly footprint. Compared to the Scan Speak Discovery 861, which I found already very good, this cost no objective loudspeaker is indeed for a DIY builder one of the best loudspeakers I have ever built. They are by far the best in my collection at the moment. The sound is relaxed with an extensive sound stage. The fundament of this loudspeaker is very good. Bass has an impressive presentation. Treble and mid with the Seas W12CY006 drivers are more present than I have heard in other loudspeakers. And they are indeed easy to drive with the 90 dB sensitivity.

My next project for this winter will be the building of the Ekta Grande with my Ophelia Scan Speak drivers.

Happy building this winter,

Kind regards,

Bas, The Netherlands
