Hello Troels,
Hope this email finds you doing well. Wanted to update you and ask a question. I purchased a new house just for the d-12s and they seem much happier in a larger space. Coming from a small apt to a 22x33' and 12-20' ceilings is amazing. Photo attached.
Still have lots of work to do on the base for the speakers and fine tune the filling but I must say they sound so so so good! I am not even using a nice tube amp yet and they still crush most speakers out there.
My next project will be center/surrounds/sub for a full 7.1 theater system.  And i want monster subs to hit as low as possible. I have found this: http://qsccinema.com/products/loudspeakers/dcs-subwoofers/
A 2x18inch sub-woofer. Any thoughts?  Port vs. sealed? Or maybe a horn loaded variant with 2 http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?partnumber=295-475 Have you even ventured into building the ultimate sub-woofer? if so how would you do it?  Any ideas are much appreciated.
Cheers, Valentin

Speakers DONE! 6 moths later.... attached. will have a write up soon. Valentin

Progress: outer shell is done, just doing the internal bracing/reflectors and a custom port for woofer. The speakers are insanely heavy ( I need 3 ppl to just turn them over). I am heavily braking insides too. the 38mm wood I used is gonna make them almost 250-300 lbs each or more. and the anticipation to listen to them is extreme, just trying to control myself and take my time to make these things perfect.

Should be done at end of Feb. will have a report with tons of pics in March. i attached a few from building.
