Here are some pictures
with my DTQWT build. This is my first DIY loudspeaker project. In DYI
world I've started with a TDA1541A NOS DAC (USB input and a 6SL7 tube
buffer), then continued with Borbely's 15W 6C33C SE amp and now the
DTQWT speakers. I'm very happy with my projects, especially with the
DTQWT. They are almost finished, I just have to make up my mind
regarding the exterior. To build them I've used birch plywood, except
for the front were I've used 15mm birch plywood+18mm fir wood.
The sound coming from this speakers is great. I've listen to them for
about 2 months now. They have a huge soundstage, voice and instruments
have a very natural timbre. Love the bass. My preferred tweeter
attenuation resistor is 1 Ohm. I can say that I've rediscovered my
music collection with these speakers(Eric Bibb, Allan Taylor, Stevie
Ray Vaughan, BB King, Poncho Sanchez, Jeff Healey.....). Thank you for
this great project and thank you for sharing it. Best regards from
Romania, Sorin.

Hi Troels,
Having my DTQWT in a small room (abt. 16-17 sqm) and keeping them
close to the wall, I've decided to do tweek #2 without the slots. I've
put the panels at 25 mm from the rear panel and I have to say that
they make a very big difference for me. The sound wave reflection from
the wall disappear and now I have a cleaner, deeper bass (before I
think I had a bump near the 70-80 Hz). So I highly recommend this
tweek to small room and close positioning to the walls. Thank
you, Best regards, Sorin.
