Hello.
I recently finished the faital 3 wc-10 speakers and I thought I'd say a
few words about them. The boxes are made of 22 mm MDF and I kept all the
dimensions. They came out pretty heavy; they are more difficult to move
around the room. And I moved them a lot. I haven't painted them yet;
maybe later. The sound? At first I was a little disappointed. I was
expecting more. They were definitely more detailed from the start than
the old cabasse sloop 321 speakers. I had to experiment with positioning
in the room. None of Cardas' methods worked. The problem is that my room
is very small: 3x4 meters and 2.80 meters high. But where is a will
there is a way. I found a youtube video that I recommend for those who
have small rooms (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HFdjpW3P-UU).
My big advantage: no waf :).
After about 80 hours of shooting and positioned as seen in the photos I
got a great sound: detailed, three-dimensional, live ... And last but
not least, I have to mention the two diffusers that made a big
difference in sound. Bigger than I expected. They're made of the
cheapest OSB according to a plan found on the internet, but I don't
think they'll ever leave my room. Whoever has the opportunity to try
these diffusers, go for it.
All the best.
Marian
