Faital-3WC-12, built by Marc, The Netherlands

Goodday mr. Gravesen,

With great pleasure I'll send you this mail upon the completion of the Faital 3wc-12 that I have built after your design. It's hard to describe the joy when you hook everything up for the first time....and sounds comes out....glorious sound!

I have built a set of speakers before, but it's been years and I should have considered myself a beginner again. Mistakes were made, and lessons learned. I kept the crossovers external, for no other reason than that I was sure I would screw something up and keeping them external would make trouble shooting easier. Things went better than expected.

Building the cabinets went well, taking into account the limitations of my talent. Life is too short to have boring speakers, so I covered them in bright wallpaper. Should I ever become a serious person it is easy enough to remove, for now I'm enjoying it. The baffles are black so they don't distract when listening to music or watching a movie in a room.

I started this project in my vacation, and needed about 2 weeks to finish the build. I then quickly cut some acoustic stools from Ikea to the advised height, added essential audiophile plants and spent the remaining free days listening to all my favorite music with new ears.

Some jobs remain (proper stands, building an amp worthy of the 3wc-12...), but I'm already enjoying the speakers tremendously. Thanks for making this design available!
