I will tell you about my Illuminator speakers. I finished them in July and I think they sounds wonderful. I compare them to my AudioVector R3 Arrete and I like the Illuminator even better. I use Gryphon Diablo 300 that can be a little bit on the darker side. 
Only thing I miss are little bit air in the top. Because of problems to get berylium, I am thinking of try the new Scanspeak Illuminator D3004/666000 carbon tweeter when it comes in the shops in October. The technical data are very close to the Berylium tweeter.. 
Do you think it will be ok to use the crossover scheme for the Berylium tweeter?
