I would like to sincerely thank you for your outstanding work on the Illuminator-7R loudspeaker design. I have recently completed building the speakers and have greatly enjoyed the process and results.
Due to the availability of materials in my area, I used 24 mm plywood for the enclosure. To maintain the original internal volume, I slightly increased the cabinet depth accordingly. I also lined the interior with a layer of acoustic felt, although I now suspect I may have used a bit too much damping material.
That said, I am truly impressed with the sound. Despite using a ribbon tweeter, the highs are smooth, realistic, and very natural. The midrange is particularly rich and textured, giving a strong sense of presence. Although the speakers are still in the early stages and likely need further break-in, I am already very satisfied with their performance.
