OBL-11, built by Ivar/Norway

Hello Troels,
I have literally just completed your OB11 speaker project. It has taken quite a bit longer than I had intended, but at least I finished before Christmas. Thank you for your input during my struggle. I picked the OB11 speakers since WAF is no longer an issue, and since I have never had a traditional 'box' speaker (they are replacing some Bose 901 VI) I thought it would be safe enough to try open baffle. Due to availability of materials locally when I set out, I ended up using 19mm MDF and 6mm meranti ply glued to it in order to get the required thickness. The meranti was later stained with teak wood stain, and I used teak lists around the edges of the speakers. I used Danish oil to finish the meranti and teak, while the mdf was painted black. Overall I am very pleased with the results. I have included some photos of the build process (these are of course available at higher resolution should you want that). So far I have only listened for about 15 minutes, and I have not yet spent any time positioning the speakers properly. Nevertheless....the sound is very promising already.
Thank you again for making your designs available. Kind regards Ivar Stavanger Norway
