The speakers are sounding great despite their positioning. I can't take the credit for cabinet making - that was my brother Joe - although we did discuss the detailing at length.
I have  attached a few more pictures. I'm sorry I didn't blur the values on the components. If you chose to use these I assume you can take care of that. 
BTW - I wasn't able to cope with glue in a tidy way - hence the use of cable ties.
