I forgot to attach a picture so here are a
couple. I constructed them from Baltic Birch plywood, which I had to
laminate to get to the proper thickness. They are covered with bubinga
veneer I made. The finish is an oil poly blend sanded to 400 grit
between each coat, totaling 15 coats. I applied so many coats in order
to fill the porous grain and achieve just short of a piano finish.
Additionally, they have such a large base because I upgraded the
crossovers to include superior z-caps and cross coils.
These are the first speakers I have ever
built. I have enjoyed the speakers a great deal and look forward to
building another of your designs.
