Hello Troels
A month ago I finished my TQWT mk-III build. I am listening to it with
my DIY First Watt F5 clone amplifier and it sounds great!
Speaker cabinets are made from higher density 21mm MDF and painted matt
black. Unfortunately I do not have required tools and sufficient
woodworking experience to produce cabinets with high enough WAF (wife
acceptance factor). Thus I've got cabinets produced
professionally for me instead.
I used a slightly different crossover layout than described in your
page. This is primarily to be able to use bi-wiring scheme (as Jantzen
TQWT kit comes with 8 binding posts).
I have also made dust covers that attach to driver screws with small
magnets when speakers are not in use. I have small kids and was afraid
that uncovered tweeter domes get damaged by their inquisitive fingers :)
Thank you very much for sharing great speaker design and all the
information that is available on your site.
Best wishes from Lithuania
Algirdas
