Tona-SUT, MC step-up transformer
Copyright 2025 © Troels Gravesen

Following my test of the Tona MC step-up transformer - I just had to have a pair. These trannies just did something to the top - say two, maybe three, octaves - that pleased my ears. More air, more easy listening. Sorry to say, but these SUTs beats my beloved MC4 by a small margin - and aren't we always searching for this little extra? These things that make us enjoy our record collection just a little more...

I ordered the ratio 1:20; this makes 26 dB gain and is close to the "12 Ohm" (25 dB) input of my EAR-MC4 and works well with all my cartridges, from Anna-D and MSL to X40.

Tona #2

Obviously I couldn't live without a Tona SUT for both my systems...

Black is in, yellow is out. Red is PLUS. Simple as that
