Peerless NOMEX 164 mkII, built by Kamil
Copyright 2019 © Troels Gravesen

 Hi Troels,
Two months ago I finished a pair of Nomex 164 mkII for my friend. He wanted natural wood finish so I made it similar to your SB MTM, birch plywood with solid oak pieces. Additionaly I used bitumen pads for back, top and side panels. Finish is hard wax oil (counter top grade).

Sound is amazing, especially strings. Same for all your construction I made (Peerless HDS134, DTQWT mkIII flat, center 641). These speakers are perfect in price/performance ratio. The only drawback is that the nomex drivers cannot be ordered with kit. I ordered in Dutch first with very bad experience (no answers, no drivers, no money back...) few years ago it was with no problem. I recommend to read current reviews of sellers first than order...

By the time being I am working on white high gloss lacquer on DTQWTs which I build two years ago - really time consuming work, size is enormous. I will send report when finished.

Thank you for hard work and contribution to DIY community, your speakers make people happier :)
